Three shot types; match an action/ reverse shot and the 180 degree rule

180 degree rule is one of the most basic rules which mean that two characters should have the right and left relationship to each other, when a camera connecting to two subjects crosses the axis it is called a crossing line. This would make the new shot be called the reverse angle. This image shows the axis between two characters and the 180 degree arc on which a camera may be positioned (in the green). When you cut across from the green to the red the characters will switch places on the movie screen.

Match an action shot is also and video editing technique. This is where the editor cuts from one shot to another that matches the first action shot. These two shots have probably been shot hours apart however cutting on action gives the audience the impression of continuous time when it flows smoothly whilst watching the movie. This can be very hard for people do as it can easily mess up which would ruin the illusion of both shots being filmed at the very same time.

Shot /reverse shot is a technique where you use the over the shoulder shot looking at another character and then it would switch to the other character then the shot would change again being an over shoulder shot. This will make the audience and view seem as if they are looking at each other. This type of shot is also used for when two people are having a conversation  Therefore making this type of shot very useful for this because when one person is speaking you can film over the other person's shoulder so they can be seen, helping the viewers see all the facial expressions made whilst they are talking. Which I believe is an effective shot.
